Frank Gillotti

Frank Gillotti passed away on September 1, 2013, at his home in Amsterdam, N.Y. He was born on August 31, 1936, in Danbury, Conn., to the parents of Anthony and Helen Gilgoil Gillotti.

Frank grew up in Danbury, Conn., and Utica, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, later returning to Danbury, Conn., where he met the love of his life, Lorraine.

Frank and Lorraine were married in Brewster, N.Y., and lived in Utica, N.Y., for several years before moving to Amsterdam, N.Y., where they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Frank enjoyed going to casinos, fishing and outings with his family.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Helen Gillotti.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lorraine of Amsterdam; his daughter, Dawn Hall and husband, Rex of Gloversville; his son, Anthony Gillotti and Michele of Amsterdam; his son, Frank Gillotti and Lori of Caroga Lake; and a stepdaughter, Robbin Meldrim of Lake City, Minn.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as an extended family, the Carmignanis in Danbury, Conn.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Mohawk Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
