Anna M. Weaver

Anna M. Weaver, 88, of Hagaman, NY, passed away Tuesday morning, February 23, 2016, at St. Mary’s Hospital with her loving family at her side.

Born in Erie, Pa., on March 21, 1927, a daughter of the late Antoinio and Antoinette Roberto Rocco. She attended school in Erie and lived most of her life in Hagaman, NY.

Anna worked for a time at the former Wood and Hyde Company in Hagaman. Anna raised her five children along with twenty-four foster children. She was a communicant of St. Stephen’s Church in Hagaman and St. Stanislaus Church in Amsterdam. She was also a member of the Hagaman Fire Department Auxiliary and Hagaman Seniors.

Anna married her beloved husband, Floyd W. Weaver on November 30, 1946. He passed away on January 21, 2009.

Survivors include her four sons, Michael Weaver and his companion Peggy of Mayfield, NY, Floyd Weaver Jr. of Selma, Alabama, Harold R. and his wife Denise Weaver of Hagaman, NY and Edward A. Weaver of Hagaman, NY; one daughter, Paula Mainer and her husband Allan of Cobleskill, NY; cherished grandchildren, Carmelia Szemplinski, Amy Jean Stearns, Randy Joseph Weaver, Scott, Jamie and Brook; great-grandchildren, Jack, Madeline, Rocco, Ruby, Travis, Rhett, Caiden, Fynn, Charlie, Logan and Cameron. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was predeceased by her grandson, Michael Weaver Jr. on December 15, 2013. She was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Michael, John and Frank Rocco, Victoria Notarione, Carmella Zanetto, Mary Whitlock, Angeline Zudinski and Isabel Arnold.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at 11 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, 50 Cornell St., Amsterdam, NY with Father O. Robert DeMartinis presiding. Interment will be in Hagaman Mills Cemetery, Hagaman, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, February 26, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam.
