Mrs. Janet C. Oldick, 80, of St. Johnsville Nursing Home died peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Bassett Medical Center surrounded by her family. Born in Fort Plain, NY on May 12, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Roy and Doris Smith Kretser.
A lifelong area resident, Janet attended local schools. She was a homemaker and worked for the Luxuary in Fort Plain as well as Oldick Milling in Nelliston. Janet was a member of the Canajoharie Moose Lodge and the Western Fulton County Seniors. She also enjoyed bowling. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her three children, Ramona Wrobel and her husband Scott of Fort Plain, NY, Cheryl Goodspeed and her husband Edward of Fort Johnson, NY and Brenda Herringshaw of Fort Plain, NY; 10 grandchildren, Shannon, Jennifer, Kimberly, Tammy, Ryan, Heather, Kyle, Andrew, Constance and Travis; 10 great grandchildren Alex, Bryson, Cayden, Levi, Liam, Landon, Sophia, Garett, Nayah and Raegan.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 10 o’ clock at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Sandflats, Fonda. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 4 until 7p.m. at the funeral home.
