David Guy Winn 71 of Edinburg, N.Y. passed away at home on December 5, 2016 after fighting a courageous battle with Cancer. He was born October 19, 1945. Son of the late Benjamin and Alta Winn.
He attended Northville Central School. He was employed by Sonoco Products, of Amsterdam for 28 years until closing of the facility. He then went on to Millers Concrete, Mayfield and Esler’s Garage, Northville, before finally retiring from Cottrell Paper, Rock City Falls. He also owned and operated his junkyard known as Dave’s Boneyard for over 40 years. After his retirement he enjoyed spending time riding his motorcycle and hanging with his Breakfast Buddies and Stewarts Crew.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dolly. Four children Donna (Daniel) Jenkins, David (Connie) Winn, Dawn (Christopher) Buyce and Dianna (Harry) Downing. Eleven grandchildren Christina Gray, Daniel J. Jenkins, Brittney Winn, Whitney Bustamante, Derek Hamel, Jeffrey Sherman, Joseph Winnie, Cheyanne Rodriguez, Gavon Winn, Madeline and Harry Downing. Seven great grandchildren Isaiah and Russell Herrick, Elaina Rodriguez, Brooke, Alexia, Patrick and Kadince Bustamante. One sister Mary Ellen (Robert) Finch. He also leaves behind several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
Calling hours will be held at the Northville Funeral Home on Saturday December 10th from 11:00 to 1:00pm with a memory sharing from 1:00 to 1:30pm. Immediately following, a gathering will be held at the Edinburg Firehouse.
