Richard W. “Moe” Mosher, 57, of Gloversville, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 4, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.
Born May 28, 1959, in Gloversville, NY, he was the son of the late Clarence and Orvetta Noonan Mosher.
Moe was a 1977 graduate of Gloversville High School. He was a gifted auto body technician working at various auto body shops throughout Fulton and Montgomery counties. Moe last worked for European Auto Body in Gloversville. When he wasn’t at work, he enjoyed camping and spending time with his close family and friends. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and following the career of Dale Earnhardt Sr. and was an avid New York Giants fan.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Marie E. Mosher of Gloversville, whom he married April 6, 2001; brother, Arthur Mosher (Ellie); sister, Audrey O’Brien (Thomas); nephews, Michael O’Brien and Mark Mosher; three great-nephews; stepsons, Terry Wilson (Lisa) of Nebraska, Jeffrey Wilson (Priscilla) of Johnstown and Brad Wilson of Gloversville; stepdaughters Tonya Cox (Andy) of Mississippi and Rachael Wilson of Johnstown. Moe is also survived by 15 step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Terry Mosher; and his great-niece, Jennifer Mosher.
A graveside service to celebrate Moe’s life will take place on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville, with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams, officiating. At the family’s request, there will be no calling hours.
