Hannah Millett, age 98, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at the Fulton Center, where she resided.
Hannah was born on February 16, 1919, in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Clinton and Hazel May Dence.
Hannah worked for most of her career at the former Johnstown Knit and was then a homemaker.
Hannah’s greatest accomplishment and joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great- grandmother.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Dominick Ruggeri, in 1975.
Hannah and Dominick had three children, Mary Ruggeri (Kathy), Dominick Ruggeri (Michele) and Joseph Ruggeri (Margaret). She is also survived by her former daughter-in-law, Susan Ruggeri. She later married Walter Millett, who predeceased her. Also surviving is a stepdaughter, Margaret True. Hannah is survived by her loving grandchildren, Christine Cunningham, Dominick Ruggeri (Shona), Joseph Maru (Melissa), Barbara Nigro (John), Joseph Ruggeri (Kristina), Michelle Rogers (Todd) and Daniel Ruggeri (Noel). Hannah was also blessed with 13 great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Tyler, Ryan, Michaela, Austin, Allyson, Kaitlyn, Keagan, Peyton, Paige, Spencer, Jaxson and Gianna, several nieces, nephews and sister-in-law Angie Ruggeri.
Hannah was predeceased by her loving sisters, Edna and Lois, and her brother William.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017, from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home, 1 North Melcher Street, Johnstown.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 16, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Johnstown.
