Homer Ellsworth, age 94, a resident of Northville, died on August 28, 2017, at home with his loving family by his side. He was born September 26, 1922, in the town of Day, NY, the son of the late Hiram and Mary Kenyon Ellsworth.
Homer was a graduate of Northville Central School. He served in the Army during WW II. He was employed for many years working in the leather mills and lastly employed at the Northville Post Office, retiring in 1984.
He was a lifetime area resident and a member of the Northville Presbyterian Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Amy L. Ellsworth on February 1, 2012. He was also predeceased by a son, Richard Homer Ellsworth; and a daughter, Amy Aline Ellsworth. He was also predeceased by several of his brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his children, Ronald (Susan) Ellsworth of Greece, NY, Lorraine Sue (Jack) Trembley of Hilton, NY and Karen (Gary) Bogusz of Broadalbin; two brothers, Robert Ellsworth and Corky Ellsworth of Northville; one sister, Janice Dence of Maine; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Saturday, September 2, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the Northville Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held at 12 noon.
