Mrs. Mary M. Frascatore, age 95, of Gloversville, NY, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017, at the Fulton Center, Gloversville with her loving family by her side. She was born October 8, 1922, in Fonda, NY to Joseph and Harriet Johnson DeSantis. She was married August 26, 1945, to Charles Frascatore, who died Nov. 24, 1957.
Mary was a lifelong resident of Gloversville. She graduated from Fonda-Fultonville in 1940 and was employed as a glove maker at the Garfinkle Leather Company and last employed as a clerk at Matty the Jeweler. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit.
Mary is survived by one son, Charles J. Frascatore (Pam) of Gloversville; one daughter, Janis M. Rorick of Gloversville; one brother, Richard DeSantis (Jenny) of Kentucky; one sister, Nellie DeSantis of Gloversville; two grandchildren, Derek J. Rorick (and Bibbi Jo and Gannia) and Deanna C. Rorick; step-grandchildren, Shelli, Lewis (Michael), Shannon Frascatore and Michael Kaminski (Liz); two step-great-grandchildren; Rhyan Lewis and Owen Lewis; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by one son, James L. Frascatore; one brother, Joseph DeSantis; three sisters, Margaret DeSantis, Gloria Peters and Tresa Crucittai.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, November 22, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Finocan Funeral Home Inc., 13 Prospect Ave., Gloversville. A prayer service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at noon at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Gloversville.
