Carl Francis Reali Jr., 93, of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, passed away Monday, March 1, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband (70 years) of Jessie Helen (Kucel) Reali.
He was born June 30, 1924, in Amsterdam, NY. He was oldest son of the late Carl Reali Sr. and Helen Lennebecker Reali and the brother of the late Thomas Reali. He resided in Gloversville, NY until 1990 where he had a lifelong career working for Garlock Oldsmobile Cadillac. He was a proud veteran of the Army Air Force during WW II from which he was honorably discharged, with the Purple Heart.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his devoted daughters, Debra Topper of Phoenix, Arizona and her late husband Mark Topper, Nan Kulle and her husband Joseph Kulle Sr. of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. He was known as “Popeye” to his five cherished grandchildren, Katie (Nick) Riley, Danielle Topper (Nick Cordero), Joseph Kulle Jr. (Chris Young), Matthew (Lauren) Topper, Alexa (Levi) Axworthy; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, March 8, at 11:00 a.m. at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St. (Route 28) West Bridgewater. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. A private burial at Northville Cemetery will be at a later date.
