Debra A. Barber, formerly of Lakeside Avenue, Amsterdam, died Sunday, February 25, 2018, at the Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility.
She was born in Plattsburgh on June 26, 1957, a daughter of the late Howard and Patricia Rennell Barber and moved to Broadalbin in 1965. Debbie was a 1977 graduate of Broadalbin Central School.
She was employed at the former Mohawk Furniture in Broadalbin.
Debbie enjoyed reading and crocheting as well spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her son, Christopher H. Barber of Broadalbin; a brother, John A. Barber of Edinburg; a sister, Wendy M. Barber of Broadalbin; a niece and a nephew; and several cousins.
Cremation was performed at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home Inc., 111 County Highway 106 (corner of Route 29 and Black Street), Johnstown. A memorial service will follow at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Patricia Bush officiating.
