Judith N. Marcoux

Judith N. Marcoux, age 75, of Gloversville, died Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Wells Nursing Home, Johnstown.

She was born February 10, 1943, in Gloversville, the daughter of Joseph and Adeline MacRorie Marcoux. She was educated in Los Angeles schools and was a 1961 graduate of Gloversville. She was employed as a property administrator by several management firms including American Express in Las Vegas.

Judy had a great love for history and served as Gloversville City Historian from 1979-2005. She was very community minded, serving as a volunteer at the Fulton County Historical Society Museum and was a supporter of the Gloversville Library. She ran for Gloversville Mayor in 1999.

She is survived by four children, Joseph Williams of Las Vegas, Nevada, Suzanne Sweet of Gloversville, Ra’Sheen Williams of Albany and Miguel Perez of Gloversville; a sister, Joanna MacFarlane; three grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Judy was predeceased by a son, Phillip Glover; a brother, Joseph W. Marcoux; and a sister, Nancy Neall.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.

Cremation took place at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady.
