Dale M. DeSimone Willett

Dale M. DeSimone Willett passed away on Jan. 24, 2018 at the Nathan Littauer Nursing Home after a long, tough battle with cancer.

She was born in the Bronx, NY on Aug. 2, 1957.

Everywhere she went, people would compare her look to the singer Cher, although she couldn’t sing. She would dance with the best of them. It didn’t matter where she was, if a song came on that she liked, she would start dancing.

She might have come across like a tough girl, but deep down, she was one of the most caring and giving people I’ve ever met.

She had worked at a number of places: Spaulding Gulf Clubs, Robinson and Smith, Frontier and Cataract Care Center.

She leaves behind her friend and companion of over 18 years, Gary Comeau, her sister and brother-in-law Denise and John Rulli, her brother Nick DeSimone and his partner Sandy Layne, her special niece Desiree Zizzo and her husband Sal Zizzo and their kids Jacqueline, Samantha and Dominic.

Although it was only for a brief moment, I know it had to be you, Dale, as a bald eagle showed up out back of your house.

She was predeceased by her father and mother, Nicholas and Rosalie DeSimone. She was also predeceased by her husband Allan Willett and her young, beautiful niece Nicolette Rulli.

Funeral arrangements will be May 19, 2018 at the Amico Funeral Home, 150 S. Main St., Gloversville NY, 12078 from noon to 2 p.m.

Donations may be made a charity of one’s choice.
