Mrs. Virginia R. Wager, age 91, of Gloversville, died peacefully on Monday, July 16, 2018, at her home.
She was born February 21, 1927, in Salisbury Center, the daughter of the late Claude and Edith Berry Jaquay. A lifelong area resident, she was employed by Daniel Green in Dolgeville, Winig Slipper Co. in Gloversville and at Ellithorpe Tannery of Gloversville.
Virginia enjoyed crocheting, camping, fishing and snowmobiling. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was married to Milton E. Wager Sr. for 73 years until his death in October, 2017. She is survived by five children, Dawne Tiano (Mike), Linda Cozzolino (Dominick), Milton Wager Jr. (Rosemary); Claude Wager and Gertrude Podschelne (Jim Loux); nine grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, many great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by all of her six brothers and sisters.
A private graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown, with David Darling, grandson, officiating.
