He was born in Manhattan, NY on July 5, 1926, the son of the late John and Anna Weiss Wilson. Harold was a WW II United States Navy veteran serving from 1944 to 1946.
Having graduated from Pratt Institute majoring in electrical technology, Harold worked for 50 plus years as an electrician in New York City and was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 3.
He was a former member of the Clarkstown Reformed Church in West Nyack, NY as well as a member of the Gloversville Presbyterian Church and attended the Mayfield Presbyterian Church in Mayfield, NY.
Harold enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, fishing and boating on the lake. He enjoyed classical music, pretending to be a percussionist while banging on the table and having his children and grandchildren play along with the “kitchen” musical instruments. He was known best for his quick wit and humor, as many family and friends enjoyed being in his company.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Olga Zeman Wilson; son, Robert and daughter-in-law Kathleen; daughter, Nancy Wilson-Soga and son-in-law, Mark Soga; and his son, John P. Wilson.
