Ronald L. Smith, age 74, of Ephratah, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Little Falls Hospital.
He was born on May 30, 1944, in Little Falls, a son of the late Roosevelt and Mary Morrison Smith.
Ron was a graduate of Johnstown High School. He was first employed by Felthousen’s Florist for many years. Mr. Smith later worked for 10 years at Christman’s Nursery in Niskayuna. Ron then worked as a heavy equipment operator and tractor trailer driver for over 15 years at the Fulton County Department of Solid Waste.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Pavlus Smith, whom he married on September 12, 1964; two sons, Larry Paul Smith and his wife Brenda and Keith Martin Smith and his wife Erica. Ron is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Private services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
Contributions in Ron’s memory may be made to a local animal shelter of one’s choice.
