Our dear mother, Rose M. (Foggia) Minadeo, passed away quietly at home in Concord, California on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. Her loving family members were in attendance.
Rose was born in Gloversville New York. She was the youngest in her large Italian family, the daughter of Criscenzo and Filomena Mendetta. Rose attended Gloversville schools where she excelled in many athletic events. She married her high school sweetheart, Adolph Foggia, and together they raised their four children; Christina, Lorraine, Anthony, and Louise. Many years later, Adolph and Rose divorced and Rose moved to Concord California where she met and married Edward Minadeo.
Rose enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, artistic hobbies, and her trips to Reno with friends and family. She was a generous caring person who donated regularly to many charities; veterans, the blind, and animals. She had a charismatic, candid personality, and Rose left a memorable impression on everyone she met.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Minado, her siblings; Ralph, Caroline, Sophie, and her brother Louis who passed away days later. Rose is survived by her four children, five grandchildren, six great grand children and one great, great grandchild.
In memoriam, contributions may be made to Hospice Foundation of America, 1701 L Street NW, Suite 220, Washington, DC, or online at [email protected].
