Shane William Hayes, age 55, of Gloversville, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019, at Nathan Littauer Hospital.
He was born on October 30, 1963, in Gloversville, a son of the late Frank and Carol Guy Hayes.
Shane was a graduate of Johnstown High School. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army for over 21 years until retiring with the rank of Sergeant First Class. Mr. Hayes was a member of the North Bush United Methodist Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Bethany Hayes; one brother, Shiloh Hayes; and three sisters, Tammy Hayes, Kimberly Sanders and Katherine Eighmey.
In addition to his parents, Shane was predeceased one uncle, John Guy; and one aunt, June Patten.
Niche interment with military honors will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2019, at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, New York.
