Katherine R. VanNostrand, age 87 a resident of Riceville Road, Gloversville died Saturday June 15, 2019 at the home of her daughter with her loving family by her side. She was born in Broadalbin, NY on October 5, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Sarah Fosmire Baker.
She was a 1949 graduate of Broadalbin High School and employed for many years as a press operator for MCA in Gloversville.
She was predeceased by her husband Dean VanNostrand in 2004, and her son, David VanNostrand in 2017.
Survivors include her children, Dean (Bet) VanNostrand of Northville, Denny (Libby) VanNostrand of Mayfield, Dawn (Bob) Bruse of Mayfield, Richard (Judy) VanNostrand of Gloversville, Douglas (Nancy) VanNostrand of Northville and daughter-in-law Sheila VanNostrand of Mayfield. Siblings, Goldie and Clyde Anderson of Broadalbin, Donna and Leon Rockwell of Mayfield, Raymond and Ruth Baker of Fonda, William and Jeanne Baker of Gloversville. Sixteen grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two on the way and three great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandson Ashely in 1981 great granddaughter Addalynn in 2014 and her siblings; Walter Baker, Richard Baker, Marian Rockwell and twins Harold and Arthur Baker.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 24, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Northville Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Broadalbin Cemetery, Broadalbin.
