Michael Paul King, 49, of Gloversville, NY, has gone to his eternal rest on Sunday, May 26, 2019, with his family by his side.
Born on May 27, 1969, in Amsterdam, NY, he was the son of Douglas King and Arlene (Chaks) King. Michael was a graduate of Gloversville High School, class of 1988. Michael married his longtime partner and best friend, Jennifer Desrochers on October 1, 2005. Michael loved mechanics. He loved working on his truck. Growing up he enjoyed fishing, and later in life fell in love with hunting, specifically, deer. Michael loved to take trips with his family to the outer banks any chance he could. He was a big fan of the Baltimore Orioles and the Buffalo Bills. He had a very unique sense of humor and will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his family and close friends.
Michael is survived by his wife, Jennifer King; his children, Savannah Rose King and Paul Michael (Victorian) King; his grandson, Bentley King; his parents, Douglas and Arlene King; his sister, Lisa Oare; and his brothers, Mark King and Christopher (Sandra) King. Many more loving family and close friends also survive.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville, NY 12078. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019, at 4 p.m. at the Gloversville Senior Center, 53 Church St., Gloversville, NY 12078, followed by a gathering after the service at the Gloversville Senior Center.
