Menzo D. Case, age 80, of Gloversville, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at the Mountain Valley Hospice House with his loving family by his side.
He was born on November 5, 1938 in Danube, New York, a son of the late Douglas and Ruth Sweet Case.
Menzo was a graduate of Johnstown High School and was employed for many years as the plant manager for Lee Dye Company in Johnstown. He was a member of the Gloversville Loyal Order of the Moose. He was an avid New York Mets and Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his longtime partner, Angelina “Angie” Lucas; two sons, Timothy M. Case of St. Johnsville and Daniel Szabo of Gloversville; five daughters, Ginger Countryman (Michael) of St. Johnsville, Nancy Case of Johnstown, Tracie-Jo Szabo of Gloversville, Jamie Forgette (Greg) of Johnstown and Kathy Snedeker (Randy) of Gloversville; one brother, Elywn Case (Marie) of Hoosick Falls; one sister, Mabel French of Lake Havasu, Arizona; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Carl D. Case on May 16, 2012; and Corporal Orson D. Case as a result of the Vietnam War on July 15, 1966.
There will be no calling hours or funeral services. A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019, from noon to 5 p.m. at Menzo and Angie’s home at 1 Pleasant View Drive, Gloversville.
