Helen J. Sweet, age 87, passed away peacefully at the E.L. Wilkinson Residential Healthcare Facility on September 21, 2019, after a brief illness. Her loving family was by her side. Born in Edinburg, New York on September 13, 1932, daughter of the late Herb and Florence Colson.
Helen is a lifetime resident of the area and attended local schools. Helen was employed by MCA Records for many years. She enjoyed gardening outdoors and going to camp on Fox Hill. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include daughters, Tammy (Thomas) Goyette of Mayfield and Barbara (Philip) Blowers of Benson; a son, Donald (Patti) Sweet of Northville; grandchildren, Brian (Kristina) Savage, Melinda Spotswood (Christopher Cheney), Dalton Rudd (Courtney Downs), Wendy (Brian) Esperti, Joey Sweet and Ronald Blowers (Terri Savlov); great-grandchildren, Rileigh, Kendyl, Paul, Sophia, Mike and Joey; several great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Sylvia Culver.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald Roy Sweet; a son, Ronald Sweet; and many siblings.
