Claudia Hayner, aged 82 years, passed away peacefully February 22, 2020, at Nathan Littauer Hospital with her loving family at her side. Born March 9, 1937, in Johnstown, NY to Clarence and Marion Squires.

She is survived by the love of her life of 60 years, Bradley R. Hayner.

She is also survived by her three children, Colleen McGivern, Gregory Hayner, and Allyson Hayner; six grandchildren, Dana DiMaio-Zajaczkowski, Nicole DiMaio, Matthew Hayner, Bradley Hayner (Jessica), and Megan Valik (Kevin); seven great-grandchildren, Anthony, Aubree, Avery, Eleanor, Cole, Abigail, and Laila.

She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Marion Squires; an infant grandson, Brandon R. Hayner; and a grandson-in-law, Anthony G. Zajaczkowski Sr.

She first worked as an employee of Fulton County for 20 years, followed by employment in the Greater Johnstown School District.

She was a spitfire and had an opinion about everything. She had many hobbies over the years including reading, line dancing, baking, ceramics, macrame, aerobics, needlework, getting tattoos, sun bathing, harassing her neighbors, and watching Bravo.

Claudia made an impact on each and every person she met; she will be missed dearly.

There will be no services held, the family will have a private burial in the spring.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown.
