Guy P. Parenti, 59, of Caroga Lake, NY, and lifelong resident of Fulton County, passed away October 16, 2020.
He was born to Nina and Thomas Parenti in Johnstown, NY. He was a 1979 graduate of Johnstown High School and attended Delhi College.
Guy held engineering position at former Coleco Industries, Campbell Plastics and Universal Medical prior to forming his own businesses; Parenti Designs in 1992 and Phoenix Design and Construction in 1997. He was also a longtime manager of Sherman’s Amusement Park in Caroga Lake.
Guy is survived by his longtime companion, Cindy Burton; his mother, Nina M. Rogers; his son Thomas A Parenti (fiancee, Katie King); his sister, Jennifer McKinney of Kissimmee, Fla.; and his brother, Anthony T. Parenti of Gallatin, TN; his nephew, Allen McKinney; and niece, Marissa Rose.
He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Parenti; and his brother, Thomas Parenti Jr.
Mass intentions will be offered at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home, 1 N. Melcher Street, Johnstown, New York.
