Peggy S. Carpenter, 62, of Mayfield, went to be with her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on September 19, 1958, in Amsterdam, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna Schichler Rose.
Peggy was a class of 1976 graduate of Fonda-Fultonville Central Schools. She was one of the first employees of Pioneer Windows which she worked as a Supervisor for over 27 years. She was of the Baptist faith, and attended Adirondack Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Jody L. Miller (Eric); two grandchildren, Anthony Miller (Breanna Sprague) and Mia Miller; three sisters, Gwen Hutchins (Vic VanAvery), Pam Manchester (Dan) and Laurie LaVoie (Gary Osterhout); and several nieces and nephews.
Peggy was predeceased by five siblings, Benjamin Rose, Joseph Rose, Jenny Costanzo, Tina Rose and Penny Rose; and three grandchildren, Jeffrey John Miller, Carly Sue Miller and Kristy Ann Miller.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 2, 2020, at the Adirondack Baptist Church, 1431 State Highway 29, Gloversville with Pastor Nate Petersen officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, November 1, 2020, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the church.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda immediately following the funeral service.
