Mr. Edward Leroy Bleyl, age 66, of Bleecker, passed away from a brief illness on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Fulton Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare, Gloversville.
He was born October 9, 1954, in Gloversville, the son of Ruth Pollock Bleyl and the late Stephen E Bleyl. He worked at the family saw mill, Bleyl and Sons for many years. He was a member of the Bleecker Community Church and a longtime member of the Bleecker Fish & Game Club. He enjoyed fishing and camping and tinkering with small engines and old equipment to bring them back to working condition.
Edward is survived by his mother, Ruth Bleyl; his sister, Susan (James) Langlois; a brother, John (Kathy) Bleyl; a sister-in-law, SunAe Bleyl; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members.
In addition to his father, Stephen, Edward was predeceased by his son, Peter Bleyl; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley (Alfred) Alfini; and a brother, Thomas Bleyl.
Keeping with Edward’s wishes, there will be no formal calling hours or funeral services at this time.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Bleecker Community Church or a charity of your choice in Edward’s name.
