Gary J. Hallenbeck, age 86, a resident of Mayfield, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021, at the Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. He was born in Mayfield, NY on October 7, 1934, the son of the late Ernest J. and Mabel I. Gifford Hallenbeck Warner. He was a United States Navy veteran, serving from 1954-1958.
Gary was a lifelong area resident and employed as a truck driver for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Myrna Ballweber Hallenbeck of Mayfield; his daughter, Anita Brower of Gloversville; his son, Scott (Vickie) Hallenbeck of Mayfield; two stepbrothers, Brent Hallenbeck of Mayfield, and Doran Warner; three grandchildren, Christopher (Antonia) Brower, Brandi (Joseph) Young and Abe Hallenbeck. Three great-grandchildren also survive him.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service at this time. Burial will take place in the spring in Mayfield Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Northville Funeral Home. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.northvillefuneralservice.com.
