Harry Colson (Pop) age 70, of Mayfield, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, February 14, 2021.
He is the son of the late Katherine M. and Charles H. Colson.
For more than 30 years he worked locally in the leather industry.
He was married to his beloved wife, Patricia L. Colson on July 29,1972, and they raised three children, Brenda, Bob and Amy.
Harry enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and drinking Genny light with his friends. He was a fan of Jimmy Johnson. Harry loved the company of long time friend Art DeCoursey; his brother, Rich; and nephew, Derrick Phillips.
Harry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia L. Colson; daughter, Brenda (Joe) Shannon; son, Robert (Suzie) Colson; and daughter, Amy (Chuck) Colson; siblings, Charlie (Sharon) Colson, Richard (Kelly) Colson, Fred (Myra) Steinberg and Barbara (Louie) Phillips; also his grandchildren, Coinne (Coty) Rudisill, John Eschler III, Tija (Josh) Morrison, Austin (Megan) Syzdek, Heather (Devon) Gritzback, Damien (Keagen, Aiden, Monica) Gritzback, Justin (Brittaney) Butler, Christian Fridley and Elizabeth Fridley. Several nieces, nephews, family members and friends also survive.
He was predeceased by a brother, Jimbo (Viola) Colson.
The family will have a celebration of life at Harry and Pat’s home at a later time.
