Sean Michael Boothstodd (Booth)

PHOTOGRAPHER:

Sean Michael Boothstodd (Booth), age 56, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Born January 17, 1965, he was son to the late Clinton Lasher and Sally Ann Booth of Mayfield.

Sean was a chef and had a passion for cooking and making sweets and worked in that industry for most of his life. Early in his career he worked at Price Chopper, then proudly worked for the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department in Food Services there for several years before relocating to North Carolina.

He moved down south because he really didn’t like the New York winter weather. While there he met his now husband, Leonard T. Boothstodd in 1997. They moved back to the area to Northville for many years and Sean went back to the Sheriff’s Department to continue his career. But that winter weather got the best of them again and back down south they went. They had a beautiful love and we all knew it. They were never hesitant to show how much they loved each other and were truly blessed. They married in 2012. Sean, affectionately known as Pookie to Leonard, was the love of his life. Most recently residing in Winston Salem, NC, they shared a beautiful relationship for 23 years.

Sean was a 1983 graduate of Mayfield Central School and earned a culinary degree from SUNY Cobleskill. Most recently Sean worked at Drury Hotels in Greensboro, North Carolina. Sean loved his family, friends, and cherished his dogs.

Sean was predeceased by his parents, Clinton Lasher Booth and Sally Ann Stanton, both of Mayfield, and an infant brother Aaron. He leaves two loving sisters to cherish his memory, Melanie Booth Loveless (Eric Petoff) of Rotterdam, NY and Kelly Sue Fancher of Mayfield. Also, many loving aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.

Arrangements for a celebration of Sean’s life will be made available at a later date.
