aDonna L. Lampman, age 74, of Johnstown, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at St. Peter’s Hospital, Albany.
She was born on September 20, 1946, in Gloversville, to the late Karl Ackernecht and Helen Riska Ackernecht.
She was employed with the former Johnstown Knitting Mill until she retired. She was a member of the Fulton County Board of Elections and the Sammonsville Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons, Randy (Karen) Lampman, Wilbur (Toni) Lampman; two daughters, Cathy Lampman and Carole Ovitt (Mike); three brothers, Terry (Debbie) Ackernecht, Gary Ackernecht, and Louis (Pam) Ackernecht; one sister, Lynne Frasier; grandchildren, Randy, Raquel, Heather, Lacy, Ariana, Alyssa, Ryan and Madison; several great-granchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donna was predeceased by her parents and husband, Wilbur Lampman Sr.; they were married on November 22, 1964, and he died on July 11, 2009.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, March 01, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown.
Visitation for family and friends were held on Sunday, February 28, 2021, from 1 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda.
