Thomas R. Fraker Sr., age 89, of Gloversville, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at home with his loving family by his side.
Born on July 26, 1931, in Johnstown, NY, he was the son of the late Ralph Fraker and Ina (Ovitt) Oliver.
Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked for 22 years at Mohawk Carpet, 22 years at the Phone Company, and 25 years at the Jockeyville Park as a park manager. Thomas was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and the Pine Tree Rifle Club. He loved his dog Chloe, hunting and cooking. Thomas also enjoyed spending time at the park with his friends.
He was united in marriage to Nancy (Landreville) Fraker on August 22, 1992.
Thomas is survived by his children, Thomas Fraker Jr. (Beth), Susan Brown (Mike), Sherry Anthony (Kim), Sally VanHuesen (Bobby), Shelly Terhune (Bill), Cheryl Blackwood (Steve), Shane Brown (Debra), Milisa Neri (Dave), Raymond Blackwood (Deb); sister-in-law, Joyce Oliver; granddaughters, Madison Neri, who he enjoyed apple picking with, Aubrey Fraker, who he enjoyed ice cream with and watching her field hockey games; as well as several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey Fraker, who passed in 2019; brothers, Edward Oliver, Doug Oliver, Francis Oliver; first wife, Barbara Jean Fraker.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown, with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Fern Dale Cemetery, Johnstown.
