Gary M. Sanges, 71, of Lewistown, passed away on Wednesday September 8, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center-Danville. Born February 9, 1950 in Gloversville, New York, he was the son of the late Renato and Elizabeth J. (Hueser) Sanges. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Nancy (Turbett) Sanges, of Lewistown; and his siblings, Susan Landress and husband Harvey, of Seminole, FL, Kathryn Kline and husband John, of St. Johnsville, NY, Renato “Rennie” Sanges, of Gloversville, NY and Robert Sanges and companion Sue Generon, of Chicopee, MA. He was a member of The Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Lewistown. He was employed as a pharmacist at CVS in Burnham for many years until his retirement in 2016. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling with his wife. Gary was also an active member of The St. Vincent de Paul Society and was a long-time member of The Knights of Columbus, recently becoming a fourth-degree knight. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday September 13, 2021 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 106 N. Dorcas Street, Lewistown with Father Jayasaleen Amalanathan and Father William Weary to officiate. There will be a viewing held from 2-4:00 p.m. on Sunday September 12, 2021 at King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown. Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.
