JoAnn Fioravanti

JoAnn Fioravanti, age 68, of Winter Haven, passed
away on Friday, October 22, 2021, at Good Samaritan
Hospital in Suffern NY.
Born on March 9, 1953, she was the daughter of the
late William V. and Mary R. (Ruggeri) Fioravanti.
JoAnn graduated from Johnstown Highschool in
1971 and went on to LeMoyne University where she
achieved a degree in Sociology and made lifelong
friends and connections, as she did in every phase of
life.
JoAnn was a fierce advocate for those in need and
exhibited that passion through her lifelong work as a
social worker. She was compassionate and caring, and
those who knew her for even the briefest of time recognized
her bright personality and deeply kind heart.
She was a steadfast member of the church community
and exuded the true essence of Christianity through
her willingness to give and her immeasurable ability
to empathize and connect.
On May 14, 2004, JoAnn married the love of her
life, Ken Estes, who survives. The two moved together,
with their beloved dog Hamlet, to Florida, where
JoAnn spent her years doing what she loved best: welcoming
family to visit, making new friends, traveling,
and, of course, frequenting Disney World. In 2012,
JoAnn and Ken opened their heart and home again to
a beautiful dalmatian puppy, whom they named Boston,
and who survives with Ken in Winter Haven.
JoAnn was always known by her friends and family
as an outstanding cook and baker. In her last years,
she discovered a passion in sharing her stories and
recipes through her writing. With the encouragement
and help from family, she published a blog. To continue
to read her recipes and experience her love for life,

JoAnn is survived by her brother, William Fioravanti
III, sisters in law Bette Fioravanti and Diane Fioravanti,
cousin, Joan Cirillo, nieces and nephews, Frederick
Douglass (Lisa), William Douglass, Erik Douglass
(Davinia), Louise Biron (James), Zoe Sentochnick
(Robert), William Fioravanti IV (Elizabeth), Rosalyn
Peterson, Fallon Villani (Joseph), Alexandra Novak
(Christopher), Bobby Estes, Sydney Turner (A.J.); as
well as many great nieces and nephews, whom she
loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, JoAnn is predeceased by
her brother, Thomas “Tommy Joe” Fioravanti, and sister,
Agatha “Babe” Douglass, as well as beloved pets
Cuddles, Echo, and Hamlet.
