Nevada Lyn Hook

Nevada Lyn Hook passed away peacefully at home on October 5th 2021 surrounded by her loving family and friends after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Nevada was born on July 3rd 1960 in Gloversville to William Warner and the late Doris Gale Ellsworth. She is survived by her siblings Michael (Lindsay), Tammy (Greg), Chris (Carol), Stacy (Arnold), Heather (Todd) and John (Jen). She was loved and adored by her many nieces, nephews and family.

Nevada worked many jobs throughout the years that often involved caring for others and also received her Bachelors of Science from Westwood College.

She is also survived by her loving husband Heath and her five children Albie, Aaron, Chenessa (Matt), Savannah & Mallary. She had the true honor of being ‘Mammy’ to her grandchildren Mersadiez, Caiden and Finnegan & loved them with all of her heart.

She spent the last few decades with the love of her life and husband Heath. Together they raised three beautiful daughters and enjoyed the many things life had to offer. They loved to camp, grow beautiful flowers and gardens, listen to country music, loved exploring the beautiful nature trails and most importantly envelope themselves in their huge community of friends who all love each other like true family.

Nevada had a spitfire spirit that can never be duplicated. She loved everyone with an open mind and an open heart with never any judgement; just love. To walk in her home you were quickly greeted with whatever deliciousness was cooking on her stove, a listening ear, some much needed advice whether you wanted to hear it or not & most of all a feeling in your heart like you were at home. She had the prettiest sparkliest green eyes, loved frogs and the color green and the most simple things would bring her joy.

Nevada had a warrior spirit and fought like a true survivor with such grace until the very end. Her legacy of strength and courage will live on forever in her family & friends.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Friday October 8, 2021 from 3 to 5 p.m., at the Northville Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help offset the funeral expenses.
