Barbara R. Dingman

Barbara R. Dingman, 81, formerly of Gloversville,
passed away peacefully at her home in Maryville, TN
on September 27, 2021. Her final days were spent, as
she desired, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Manhattan on November 9, 1939, a
daughter of Lawrence and Catherine Scully Hebert
and was raised in Ballston Spa. Barbara was a 1957
graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School.
Following her graduation, she proudly served in the
US Air Force and was stationed in Colorado Springs, CO.
Mrs. Dingman lived in Gloversville for many years
and was employed at Elton Leather. She moved to
Tennessee in 1989 and became a licensed real estate
agent. Barbara owned Friendship Realty until retiring
in 2015, at age 75.
She was a remarkable, strong, determined, and
fiercely independent woman and will be missed by
her family every day.
Barbara was a proud and devoted mother to her five
sons, Edward (Tracy), Brian (Kelly), William (Deborah),
Floyd (Heather), and Wayne (Nicole); a loving
and thoughtful grandmother to her eight grandchildren,
Ashley, Kelsie, Ryan, Matthew, Ian, Landon,
Taylor, and Parker, as well as her two great-grandchildren,
Kaylee and Ricky. She knew and often said that
she was blessed with a wonderful family legacy.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services.
Her family gratefully acknowledges the doctors and
nurses at Blount Memorial Hospice and to Edward
and Nicole for taking such good care of her in her final
days.
