Marjorie Ellen Maio

Marjorie Ellen Maio, age 87, died peacefully on September
27, 2021, in Saratoga Springs, New York, where
she had been a resident at Embury Apartments for the
past 8 years.
She was born on April 8, 1934 in Maryville, Missouri
to Isaac Miller and Della Mae Overmier Miller.
Marjorie grew up in Maryville, Missouri and graduated
from Horace Mann High School in 1952. After
high school she married Patrick Maio in 1953 in Albuquerque,
New Mexico, where Patrick was stationed in
the United States Air Force. They were happily married
for 57 years. Marjorie was a skillful bridge player
and an avid reader. In her retirement years, she also
enjoyed fishing on Sacandaga Lake. To her family she
was best known as a mom whose kitchen produced
amazing food, wonderful memories, and a lifetime of
love.
Marjorie is survived by three devoted children, Vikki
(Michael) Callison of Ravenel, South Carolina, Patrick
Maio Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, and Angela Maio
M.D. of Ocala, Florida; devoted sister Beth (Jan) Larson
of Toms River, New Jersey: five loving grandchildren,
Amanda Neikirk, Richard Callison, Sean Maio,
Meghan Watt, and Christina Watt; five great grandchildren
Aileen and Joshua Neikirk and Colton, Cameron,
and Richard Callison; niece Kelly Nieduzak, and
nephews Bryan Larsen, Jim Miller and Gregg Giroux.
The family would like to express deep appreciation
for the kindness, love, and excellent care given to
Marjorie by longtime friends and healthcare workers
at Embury, especially Wendy Bowen, Harold Burdit,
Lora Green, Jeff Hazard, and Wendy Van Hall.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi
Catholic Church, 501 Bridge Street, Northville, NY on
Saturday, November 13 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow
at Northampton Cemetery in Fish House,NY.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations
be made to Community Hospice, 179 Lawrence
St., Saratoga Springs, NY. Arrangements are
under the direction and care of the Northville Funeral
