Ruth A. Quinn, age 93, of Gloversville, passed away
Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Mountain Valley Hospice
House, Gloversville.
She was born October 26, 1928 in Amsterdam, the
daughter of the late Walter and Blanche Donahue
Jones. She was a graduate of Johnstown High School
and was later employed as a hairdresser at various local
salons, a crossing guard for the former Berkshire
School, lunch aide at Boulevard School and a faithful
homemaker.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Jamie R. Quinn
(Todd Mercer), a granddaughter, Jennifer Diener
(Justin Paige); two great-grandchildren, Eliot Paige
and Emilia Paige; a brother, Richard Jones; as well as
several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, was predeceased by her
husband, James E. Quinn; a sister, Bertha “Betty” Phillips
and a brother, Robert Jones.
The family will receive relatives and friends from
10am to 12 noon Saturday, November 13, at Walrath
& Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville,
where a Funeral Service will follow at 12 noon
with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating. Facial
masks will be required.
Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery,
Johnstown.
