Robert C. Nourse


Edinburg – Robert “Bob” C. Nourse, age 94, of Tennantville Road, Edinburg, passed away on January 21, 2022. Born, in Bethlehem, NH, the son of Elinor E and Samuel E Nourse.
Robert served in the 763rd Army Air Force from June, 1945 to January, 1947, as an Automotive Mechanic and Carbine Marksman. He was awarded the Army of Occupation World War II Victory Medal.
Robert married Marion Doris Ferguson on April 26, 1947 and resided in Edinburg. He worked construction early on in his career and was a Maintenance/Grounds person at the Saratoga County Infirmary prior to his retirement. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, gardening, and camping and fishing at Back Lake, New Hampshire.
Survivors include Alice Ferrara of Johnstown, Kathy (Jack) Williams of Broadalbin, Robin (Peter) Degli-Angeli of Wells, Lisa (Larry) Ellis of Schenectady, a son Robert W (Shawn) Nourse of Edinburg, Daughter-in-Law Diane Nourse of Edinburg, Sister Marion Geiger Luchi of Florida, Brother Stanley Nourse of Gloversville, 17 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Marion (2008), son, Jonas (2017), sisters Dorothy Gibson and Charlotte Goshe, and brothers Walter Nourse, Edward Nourse and David Dow.
In keeping with Bob’s wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral service. A spring burial will be held at the family’s convenience. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Ottman Funeral Home, 22 Church Street, Cherry Valley, New York, 13320.
