Jack D. Woodcock Jr.


Gloversville – Mr. Jack D. Woodcock Jr passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from complications related to vascular dementia, at his home with his beloved wife by his side.
He was born on September 24, 1969, in Gloversville, NY, the son of Sandra Burgess Gates of Broadalbin NY and the late Jack D. Woodcock, Sr.
Jack attended school in Gloversville and Broadalbin and was a 1988 Graduate of Broadalbin High School.  He also completed trade training at HFM BOCES while in high school.
Immediately upon graduating high school, Jack went to work for Broadalbin Manufacturing as a machinist, a job that he truly enjoyed.  He was employed there for over 32 years, retiring in 2020 due to poor health.
In his spare time, Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, camping, riding four wheelers, dirt bikes, snow mobiles and boating.  He loved to tinker in his garage with anything that had a motor.  In recent years, he appreciated vacationing.  His favorite place to go was Boston.

In addition to his wife and Mother, Jack is survived by his daughter Kassandria Grace Woodcock (Jon Morrison) of Gloversville; his step-daughter, Amanda Bentley Fox, granddaughter Frankie Bentley, and was expecting his first grandchild, Zealand Jackson Morrison in June.  Also, his siblings Tina Roice, Robert Woodcock (Christen Burton), and Melissa Petty (Donald Lair).  His in laws Carol Scott (Kevin), Stewart Davis, and Robert Davis.  He also had three bonus children Brittany Toussaint, Caitlyn Stever (Christopher Carpenter) and Robert Stever. He leaves behind several Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins along with his two faithful companions Patches and Mildred.
A celebration of life is being held on Sunday, March 6th at 2 p.m. at the Gloversville Moose.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jack’s honor to any local animal shelter or a charity of one’s choice.
There will be no funeral services as Jack made an anatomical gift to Albany Medical College, arranged by Hans Funeral Home of Albany, NY.
