Berton H. Frasier Jr.


Gloversville – Berton H. Frasier Jr, 45, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Born in Gloversville on December 18, 1976, the son of Bert (Carmie) Frasier Sr. of Mayfield, NY and Joanne (Frank) Claus of Bishopville, SC. Bert was a 1995 graduate of Mayfield High School and enlisted in the Air Force after graduation where he served three years. He was last employed with Broadalbin Perth Central School District and R.W.P. Carpentry. Bert was an avid outdoor sportsman. He always had a true passion for golf, hunting and fishing which earned him the name “Captain Bert”. For many years he was also a part of the APA pool league that won him several trips to the finals in Las Vegas. Bert will always be remembered for his many jokes, his wit, his infectious laugh and his incredible bond with his father. Bert is survived by his loving parents and stepparents, his sister Jill (Jason) Hoose of Mayfield, NY and his brother Stephen (Kim) Frasier of Highgate, VT and his nieces and nephews who love him dearly; Alex Glowacki of Austin, TX, Evan Lehr, Trevor Lehr, Wyatt Hoose, Blake Hoose, Adalynn Frasier and Tyce Frasier. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles and cousins. Bert is predeceased by his sister Kelly Monaco who passed in 2019. Bert will be honored with a celebration of his life on Saturday, March 12 at 1 p.m. at the 518 Gathering Hall located at 145 Riceville Rd. Gloversville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bert’s honor to The Wounded Warrior Project, Tunnel to Towers Foundations or to a charity of one’s choice.
