Elizabeth A. Tyrrell

Gloversville – Elizabeth A. Tyrrell, age 90, of Gloversville, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 23, 2022, at her home with her loving husband by her side.
Born on June 16, 1931, in Gloversville, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Agnes (Miller) Arnold.
Elizabeth received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from SUNY Plattsburgh where she became certified as both a RN and SNT. She was employed for many years in the nursing profession and retired from her school nurse teacher position with the Gloversville Enlarged School District in 1997. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, visiting Cape Cod, and enjoying her summers on the Great Sacandaga Lake. Elizabeth volunteered for both the Red Cross and the Literary Volunteers of Fulton County. She was also a past member of the local Lioness Club. Most importantly, she loved to spend time with her family.
She married the love of her life, Robert Lewis Tyrrell on July 29, 1956, who survives.
Elizabeth is also survived by her children, Tim Tyrrell (Patricia); daughters, Deborah Hoke (Bruce), Kimberly Tyrrell-Pepper (Andrew); 3 grandchildren, Melissa Sargalis (Mark), Brittany White (Patrick), Niall Pepper; 2 great grandchildren, Blake Sargalis, Audrina Sargalis; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth is predeceased by her daughter, Elizabeth Roberta Tyrrell.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be determined by the family.
