Donna (White) Sanders

Fort Plain – Donna (White) Sanders, a lifelong Fort Plain resident, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, August 24th, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Amsterdam.
She was born in Herkimer, NY, October 9, 1953 to Donald and Marion Gallup White. She graduated from Fort Plain High School. She was employed by the Montgomery ARC at the 40 Ridge Road Group Home, retiring after 32 years of dedicated service.
She is survived by a daughter, Tina (Dave) Johnson of Canajoharie; a son in law, Rich Edick of Mohawk; seven siblings, Linda White, Arizona, Dennis White, David (Alberta) White and Joe White, all of Fort Plain, Maggie White and Rick (Marie) White of Gloversville and Melody (Rick) Richardson of West Virginia; six grandchildren, Brandon and Nick Johnson, Dannielle, Bradlee, Jerimiah and Sonae Edick, and a great grandson, Grayson Edick. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her Grandview Church family along with many friends. She was predeceased by a daughter, Melissa Edick who passed away this past year and by her parents and three brothers.
A Celebration of Donna’s life will be held at the Grandview Baptist Church, 15 Washington St. Fort Plain, NY on Saturday September 3rd, 2022, commencing at 11 am with Pastor Sean Morin, officiating. Following the church service, burial will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Fords Bush Road, Ft. Plain.
