Lucille Ann Mangiagli


Kingston – Lucille Ann Mangiagli, 93, of Kingston died Monday, September 12, 2022 at home with her family by her side. Born in Gloversville, NY on January 1, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Richard E. and Anna (Schreckenberger) Loeben.
Lucille studied at the Nathan Littauer Hospital School of Nursing in Gloversville receiving her RN in 1949. She was employed by Saint Clare’s Hospital in Schenectady and later by Benedictine Hospital in Kingston. A parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, Lucille was a member of the Church Guild and the parish school’s Blanket Club/Mother’s Club.
Surviving are her children Michael S. Mangiagli, Sr., Susan Rutledge, Patricia Watzka (Jerry), Linda Henry (Jim), Richard Mangiagli (Phillip Ventresca), Kathy Spiconardi (Bob), Paula Perpetua (Mike) and Lisa Jones (Ron). Thirteen grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, to nieces and four nephews also survive.
In addition to her husband, Vincent Mangiagli, who passed away in 2004, she is also predeceased by her brother, Richard E. Loeben, Jr., a son-in-law, Robert Rutledge, a daughter-in-law, Betty Mangiagli, two grandsons, Matthew Spiconardi and Matthew Todd Rotolo, and a great-grandson, Evan Douglas Hunt.
Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Smith Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401. ( Lucille’s family will received friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A funeral procession will form Friday 9 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
