Gloversville – Ryder Matthew LaBounty Bateholts, 17 months, became an angel on Thursday, September 22, 2022.
He was born in Albany on April 8, 2021, a precious son of Bruce W. LaBounty III and Brooke M. Bateholts and lived in Gloversville.
Ryder loved to play with the ears of people he loved and he had the sweetest way of batting his eyes at you. He loved to play with buttons, especially on the TV, and loved to dance with his daddy. Ryder enjoyed when his sister made funny faces. He was Grandma’s “Gerber baby”.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Paul Bateholts.
In addition to his parents, survivors include two brothers, James and Jordyn Bateholts; two sisters, Madalin LaBounty and Cheyann Bateholts; his maternal grandmother, Jennifer (Harold) Fox; his paternal grandparents, Bruce and Stefania LaBounty; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Cremation was performed at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4 – 5:30 p.m. at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, Inc. 111 County Highway 106 (Corner of Route 29 & Black Street), Johnstown, followed by a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A gofundme account has been established for Ryder by his great aunt, Justine Kowal Eglin with any excess to be donated equally to the Shriners Children Hospital in Springfield, MA and the Moyamoya Disease Fund at Albany Medical Center.
