Gloversville – David J. King, age 78, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2023 at the Nathan Littauer Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born on November 11, 1944 in Cheltenham, England. The son of the late James and Betty King. He attended Gloversville Schools and then proudly served 4 years in the United States Air Force.
He then worked at GE in Schenectady for 35 years until his retirement from the rotor section.
He was married to the love of his life, Dale Tomlinson King for 47 years until her passing in 2016. He is survived by his children, Melody King, James King and his wife Angela and their fur babies Daisy and Momo that he loved more than anything. His brother Brian King (Dail), sister Margaret Houghton, sister-in-law Theresa Marcellus (Cliff), brother-in-law’s; Greg Tomlinson (Kelli), Keith Tomlinson (Kim) and Kevin Tomlinson (Jeanette). Several loving nieces and nephews also survive him. He was predeceased by his brother Michael King.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Saturday May 20, 2023 at 11 a.m. in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Northville. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Northville Funeral Home. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.northvillefuneralservice.com.
