Broadalbin – Marie Jablonski, 91, of Gull Avenue, Broadalbin, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023, at Albany Medical Center.
She was born in Gloversville on December 29, 1931, a daughter of Frank and Pauline Fabian and was a graduate of Gloversville High School. Later Marie graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Amsterdam.
Mrs. Jablonski worked at St. Mary’s Hospital before beginning her career with the NYS Division for Youth at the Tryon School in Johnstown. Marie was in charge of the nursing department and retired in 1991.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Broadalbin.
In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by a brother, Emmerson Fabian.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Jablonski; a son, Charles (Cleta) Niles of Johnstown; three daughters, Mary (Sam) McRedmond of Fonda, Eileen (Marc) Wilson of Gloversville, and Margaret (Ronald) Smith of Fonda; a stepdaughter, Bonnie (David) Puglisi of Hagaman; six grandchildren, Kathryn (Rob) McRedmond, Michael (Jamie) McRedmond, BrieAnne (Katie) Wilson, Brittney (Michael) Smith, Garrett (Mollie) Smith; and David Puglisi Jr.; six great-grandchildren, Demilee and Delanie McRedmond, Cameron Alpy, Wyatt Hernigle, and Collins and Lucas Smith; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Marie gifted her body to the Anatomical Gift program at Albany Medical Center College. A memorial mass will be held at a later date at St. Joseph’s Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, PO Box 538, Broadalbin, NY 12025.
