Galway – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward Klementowski, a beloved member of our community, on March 24, 2023. He was born on May 8, 1946, in Ballston Spa, the son of Joseph Charles and Beulah Doris (Reynolds) Klementowski. He was a shining example of kindness, generosity, and compassion. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Edward was married to his beloved wife Roberta in 1968, a union that lasted 35 years until her passing in 2003. Their love and commitment to each other remains an inspiration to their family and friends.
Ed graduated from high school in Galway, NY. He served in the United States Army from 1966-1968 and enjoyed his time stationed in Germany. He began his career at General Electric and retired from Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory in the radiological controls department in 2002 after 34 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, exploring his favorite Adirondack spots during the summer and fall. He will be remembered for his willingness to always lend a helping hand. His infectious laugh and great sense of humor brought joy to all who knew him. Edward cared deeply for his family, and this was seen through years of lovingly caring for his mother. He found the most joy in spending time and playing with his great-grandchildren, and his legacy will live on through the memories they shared together.
Edward is survived by his daughter Carol (Shaun) Montgomery; his grandchildren Jessica (Vanidie) Montgomery and Samantha (James) DelValle; and his most cherished great-grandchildren Wesley, Lyric, Rowan, Aurelia, and Winter.
