Gloversville – Richard W. Boles, 84 of Gloversville passed away on March 6,2023 at Mt. Valley Hospice House. Born in Gloversville, the son of the late William and Anna Boles. He was employed for many years as a telephone installer for Frontier Communications. Richard was a train collector and train enthusiast and also enjoyed riding on trains, also enjoyed playing golf where he shot a hole in one, and watching and attending NASCAR races. During his stay at hospice he started watching football games and became a fan. He was married to Betty Christiano for 53 years,and she died in 2014. Survived by his children, Kathleen(Gerardo)Zarrelli, Michael and Richard Boles, grandchildren Nicholas Zarrelli and Katelyn(Brandon)Zarrelli, several nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his siblings, William Boles, Carl(Florence)Boles, Jane(Douglas)Putnam, James(Patricia)Boles and Sally Horton. Friends may call Saturday March 11,2023, from 11 to 12 Noon, at John W. Finocan Funeral Home, 13 Prospect Ave. Gloversville, where a prayer service will be held at 12 Noon. Spring interment in Ferndale Cemetery. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave. Gloversville. Many thanks to the staff at Mt.
