Nursing home staff cares

We would like to thank the entire staff of Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home for the care our parents received.

Recently, both our parents were residents of Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home. Dad was there for rehab; Mom was in with late stages of Alzheimer’s and recovering from a fall at home.

The nursing home staff was caring, compassionate and attentive to their needs. We have a new appreciation for the amount of work that is required by the nurses and aides – including for things such as housekeeping, dietary, rehab, recreation, etc. – who all have involvement in the residents’ care.

Dad has completed rehab and is now home getting stronger every day. The staff identified our mother’s nursing background and were able to work with that knowledge, placing her in the middle of activity keeping her occupied. When her disease took over and mom was in her last stages of life, the comfort and compassion continued and we were welcomed to stay by her side.

It is difficult to explain the profound acts of kindness and care given to our family. We thank you.
