Families often write about how Mountain Valley Hospice has helped their family through a difficult time in a loved one’s life. I would like to write a note from a hospice patient’s perspective.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001, had surgery, radiation and chemotherapy and was then considered “free of the disease” until 2010. The cancer returned with a vengeance. After battling the disease again, it has finally taken its toll and I am now in the care of Mountain Valley Hospice.
There aren’t enough words to describe the compassionate care given to me and my family during this difficult journey we are on. The love of mankind shines through everyone’s actions. If any one of us needs anything, hospice is right there 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Their knowledge of the journey to life’s end makes the trip more doable. They are always enriching my life and that of my family.
We will always be grateful for the love and support hospice has given us. Thank you.
