The 11th annual Broadalbin Youth Commission Golf Tournament, held at the Fox Run Golf Club on July 19, was a great success. The funds raised are essential to maintain the quality of the year-round recreation and athletic programs for the youth of our community and advance the development of the Town Park and Recreation Facility.
The local businesses and individuals that support our youth with their contributions deserve our recognition and support. Our “Green & Tee” sponsors who provided their generous support were: Judy and Bob Munn; Lanzi’s Partners J.T. Inc.; Kennyetto Graphics; Mrs. Jeanne Wilkinson; Knights of Columbus Council No. 7629 of Broadalbin; Broadalbin Manufacturing Corp.; Spinnaker Management and Realty Sales; R J Hoy Insurance Agency; Quality Painters & Decorators, Inc.; Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home; Robert Lee Walsh Post No. 337, American Legion; Sniezyk Painters, Inc.; Fuel N Food of Mayfield; Pizza Supreme; Sieverts Sports; Mayer and Cope Family Practice; Fitzgerald, Morris, Baker, Firth, PC, Attorneys at Law; Midnight Oil, Inc.; The Pifko Family, In Memory of Theo; H & M Equipment; Eagle Chevrolet and Cadillac; Veterans Telecom; South Shore Marine; J. Gerard McAuliffe, Jr., Esq.; Alpin Haus; A-1 Auto Body; Roseann and Sam Jackling; Embee’s Wine and Spirits; Joseph M. McDonald; The Jankowski Agency, Inc.; North East Riggers and Erectors of NY, Inc.; Conversion; RBC Capital Markets (by way of Mr. Gary Mazzarelli). The beverage cart was sponsored this year by Lee Hollenbeck and the “Hole in One” sponsor was Mangino Chevrolet. Finally, Dixon Golf, a company specializing in environmentally friendly or “Green” golf product, sponsored a contest, provided gifts for the golfers and made a $500 donation to the event.
We especially appreciated the assistance and hospitality of Rich Scott and his staff at the Fox Run Golf Club for their support throughout the planning of the event and ensuring the success of the tournament.
On behalf of the Tournament Committee, we thank all who made the event a success and hope that the goodwill and generosity of these sponsors and businesses is rewarded by your patronage throughout the year.
